In 2004, Ms. Barthelemy and her colleagues co-founded the Association of Haitian Social Workers, which is a volunteer organization in the state of Florida. AHSW is a non-profit, professional association; founded on October 1, 2004 as part of a response to the flooding in Gonaives, Haiti. AHSW has since taken on many more national & international causes as part of its effort to bring attention to the plight of the underserved, disenfranchised, and under-represented Haitians in South Florida.
In 2007, Ms. Barthelemy founded Rapha Family Services, a non-profit social services agency serving Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Rapha Family Services, Inc. is a 501- (C) (3), Private, Non-Profit Social Services agency. The agency is dedicated to improving the lives of families by providing them with the necessary tools needed to succeed; such as Individual and Family Therapy, parenting classes, family mentoring, Queen Esther’s Mentoring, referrals, Case Management Services and Humanitarian Aid to Haiti.
